Rodriguez Scores Goal, Owls fall 3-1

JACKSON, Miss – The Owls men's soccer team competed in a tough match against Belhaven University. This match was a hard fight and the Owls did not give up. Despite all efforts victory was not successful in today's match, losing the match 3-1. With the loss, The W move to 3-8-1 on the season.

JACKSON, Miss – The Owls women's soccer team defended well against Belhaven University. Even with their tremendous efforts in today's match, the Owls were unable to come out with a win, losing the match 2-0. With the loss, The W moves to 2-11-0 on the season.

Volleyball Hangs Tough with Rhodes

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls volleyball team worked hard against NCAA DIII opponent Rhodes College on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The W battled back from point deficits and continued long rallies in an attempt to gain a victory over the Lynx. Even with the newfound energy, the Owls were unable to stay ahead of Rhodes falling in three sets (16-25, 16-25, 21-25).

Owls Finish Third in the USCAA National Golf Championship

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Owls men’s golf team reached a high point during its inaugural season by placing third at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Golf Championship on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The W shot 3-over-par in the last round on Tuesday to best 20 of the 23 fielded teams and finish the two-day event with a score of 590 (299-291,14-over).

Owls Bounce Back with 7-1 win over LaGrange

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls women's soccer team demonstrated remarkable efforts in the match against LaGrange College on Sunday, Oct. 7 at the Columbus Soccer Complex. In the last home game of the season, the Owls presented a victory against the Panthers, 7-1 improving its season record to 2-10-0.

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls men’s soccer team fought hard the entire match Sunday afternoon. Despite the hard played efforts, the Owls could not come out with a win, bringing its season record to 3-7-1.

Owls Place 10th at Watson Quality Ford Invitational

Women's Cross Country

CLINTON, Miss. - Saturday, Oct. 6, the women’s cross country team competed in the Mississippi College Watson Ford Invitational.  The Owls competed against several NCAA DI and DII including Troy University, Tarleton State, Mississippi College, Jackson State, Mississippi Valley State, Southern University, Alabama A&M, and the University of Louisiana – Monroe. They also ran against DIII foe Belhaven University.

Men's Golf Has 2nd Round Surge to Finish 7th at Piedmont

CLARKSVILLE, Ga. – The W men’s golf team participated in the 13th Annual Piedmont College Fall Invitational on Monday, Oct. 1 – Tuesday, Oct. 2. During the Owls second outing, The W competing against 11 other teams for a 7th place finish. After finishing the first round in last place, the Owls finished with a score of 652 to best four other teams.
