Pensacola, Fla. – The Owls men's soccer team defeated Pensacola Christian 2-0 on Saturday, Oct. 20 in Pensacola, Fla. With the victory, the Owls improve to 4-9-1 on the season.
The Owls demonstrated great offensive and defensive tactics but was unable to make it to the board in the first half. In the second, sophomore forward Michael Ledbetter found an opening and took the shot to score the first goal of the game.
Soon after, sophomore forward Makaio Johnson scored the Owls second goal to secure the victory.
John McGee, sophomore goalkeeper from Troy, IL., was credited with hs fourth victory in front of the goal. McGee played the entire match and tallied seven saves.
The Owls will travel to Huntsville, Ala. on Wednesday, Oct. 23 to compete against Oakwood University. Kick-off is set for 5 p.m.
