Men's Soccer Victory Prevented at Oakwood

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Owls men's soccer team played a tough match on Tuesday, Oct. 23 against Oakwood University. Despite the efforts in Tuesday's match, the Owls were unable to bring home a win, losing the match 3-2. With the loss, The W moves to 4-10-1 on the season.

Within 23 minutes of the first period, Kyle Rodriguez scored the Owls first goal and his fourth goal of the season. Rodriguez was able to gain his goal with an assist from Joshua Frankenstein.

The second goal was scored by Jose Morphis in the second period with an assist by Josh Martin.

Offensively, Rodriguez, Morphis, and Michael Ledbetter all recorded one shot on goal each while Josh Martin was recorded two shots on goal. 

Jakob Williams defended the Owls goal for the entire 90 minutes. The junior from Moorpark, Ca. prevented two goals while allowing three goals.

The Owls men's soccer team will be back in action on Saturday, Oct, 27 as they travel to Madisonville, Tenn. to compete in their last match of the season against Hiwassee University. Kick-off is set for 1:30 p.m.
