NORFOLK, Va. - With recent victory over USCAA sister-institution Judson College, the Owls women's basketball team holds its number one ranking in week two of the USCAA Coaches Poll.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The No. 1 ranked Owls women’s basketball team came out of the gate swinging for an early 22-12 lead over No. 15 Judson. Despite a couple of stumbles and running into foul trouble, The W was able to keep its head above water to defeat the Eagles 66-50. Adding another road, the Owls improve to 6-2 on the season.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls women’s basketball team was unable to battle back against Rust College falling 63-53 Saturday afternoon. The W falls to 5-2 on the season with its only losses being against the Bearcats.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls women’s basketball team was victorious once again in its Tuesday night pursuit against Tougaloo College to improve to 6-1 on the season. The W mounted a strong offense and dominated defensively to defeat the Bulldogs 84-66.

COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls women’s basketball team went blow for blow with LSU – Shreveport on Saturday, Nov. 17 in Emma ‘Ody’ Pohl Gymnasium. Despite beginning the game down 12-2 in the first quarter, the Owls were able to rally together to defeat the Pilots 58-56 and improve to 4-1 on the season
HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – Owls women’s basketball takes first loss of the season at Rust College on Thursday, Nov. 15. The W played hard but was unable to overcome a streak of unforced turnovers and missed layups to fall 94-58 against the Bearcats. With the loss, the Owls move to 3-1 on the season but will hopefully retain their No. 1 spot in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Standings.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls women’s basketball team improves to 3-0 on the season after defeating Blue Mountain College 61-36 on its home court on Monday, Nov. 12. Junior center Qiayon Bailey recorded her second double-double of the season with 14 points and 16 rebounds while junior guard Rokila Wallace led the Owls scoring effort with 17 points off the bench.
DENVER, Colo. – Junior guard Rokila Wallace led the Owls offense with 19 points off the bench to aid the Owls women’s basketball team in its 85-74 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday, Nov. 10. With the Saturday’s game behind them, The W moves to 2-0 to open its comeback season.
