Owls Go 0-2 in Day Two of Colorado Tour

DENVER, Colo. – The Owls volleyball team went 0-2 in the second day of the Colorado tour. The W fell 0-3 (23-25, 18-25, 18-24) to the Johnson and Wales Wildcats and 0-3 (21-25, 14-25, 22-25) to the University of Dallas for a 4-21 overall record.

Against Johnson and Wales, Cicely Goldhorn led the team with nine kills on 28 total attacks. The junior outside hitter also tallied one dig for a total of 9.0 points.

Also aiding offensively was sophomore Kayla King. The outside hitter from Caledonia, Miss tallied seven kills on 23 attacks for three digs and one block assists. She also totaled 7.5 points.

Defensively, junior Haley McMurphey led the pack with 16 digs and two block assists.

Owls vs. University of Dallas

The Owls fell 0-3 to the University of Dallas on Oct. 27. The W fought hard but was unable to defeat the Crusaders in the second match of the day.

Offensively, the Owls were led by Cicely Goldhorn who recorded seven kills for 17 total attacks. Defensively, Megan Parks led with 11 digs and 1.0 points.

The Owls will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 3 when they take on Lane College at home. The first serve is set for 2 p.m.
