COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Mississippi University for Women tennis teams both were defeated at home by Huntingdon College. The Owls men's team was topped by a 9-0 score, while the women's squad was defeated, 8-1, by the Hawks at the Garrett Tennis Courts.
In the men's match, HC built an early 3-0 lead in the match by sweeping all three doubles contests. It was a similar story in singles, as the Owls were swept in straight sets in all three matches. Victor Gomez, playing No. 6 singles managed the most games in a 6-2, 6-1 setback.

While the W was swept in doubles, the No. 2 tandem of
Sarah Kackley and
Mallery Parker battled gamely before going dow by an 8-5 score.
Kackley also won five games in a 6-2, 6-3 loss to the Hawks' Alondra Weaver.
The W's lone victory of the day – women or men - came at No. 6 singles.
