Don Usher Softball Field

The Don Usher Softball Field is located adjacent to the main campus on the east side of 15th Street South, just across the railroad tracks. Parking for the field is located on the grassy area, directly across the street on 15th Street South. 

The stadium, itself, features chair-back seating behind home plate and bleachers to either side, as well. There is an elevated press box, with both a meeting room and an umpire room, in addition to the working media area. An outdoor patio runs the length of the upper deck of the press box and provides shade for the seats below. A concessions stand and restrooms are located on the ground level of the press box building. Both dugouts are covered and feature adjacent bullpen areas. An outdoor batting cage is down the thirdbase line, as well.

In addition to its artificial playing surface, Usher Field is lighted and the gameday experience is enhanced by its electronic scoreboard in centerfield.

Don Usher, a Columbus businessman, was very supportive of the MUW Athletic Program At the groundbreaking ceremony in 1984, the field was named in memory of Mr. Usher. Opening on March 18, 1986, the Don Usher Softball field has hosted many opponents across all divisions.
