Mission Statement 

The role of the Mississippi University for Women's Sports Medicine Department is to serve as the primary healthcare provider for all MUW student-athletes. Our goal is to ensure all student-athletes achieve their optimal performance through the prevention of injury; recognition, evaluation, and assessment of athletic injuries/illness; immediate care of athletic injuries/illness; and rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries. Advanced care is facilitated through the Sports Medicine Department to a multi-disciplinary network of healthcare professionals in the community and the surrounding region.

Sports Medicine Information

The Mississippi University for Women Sports Medicine Department is comprised 2 full-time staff, 1 Graduate Assistant and multiple undergraduate athletic training interns who serve on a daily basis to assist the Certified Athletic Trainers with athletic training room, practice and game coverage.
