FULTON, Mo. – Mississippi University for Women men's basketball closed out its 2023-24 season with a 64-52 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) road loss at Westminster College. The Owls ended the campaign with a record of 7-18, 3-15 in its first-ever SLIAC season.
The W led at halftime, 28-27, but found itself outscored by the Bluejays in the second stanza by a 37-24 margin, out-shooting the Owls by a 48-to-23 percent clip in the half.
Junior
Tarik Islamovic paced MUW with a game-leading 18 points off of the bench. He went 5-of-12 from the field and was 8-for-9 at the free throw stripe.
Senior
Brye Hopkins capped his Owls' career with a 12 point and seven rebound game.
Chris Evans added seven points and five boards to the MUW totals.
Cam Smith finished with six points, nine rebounds, and a tea-leading three assists.
Dariun Doss topped The W with 10 rebounds in the setback.
