COLUMBUS, Miss. - For the fourth time in the 2025-26 season – and third week in a row – The W men's basketball player
Tray Huguley (Saks, Ala.) has been voted as the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Player of the Week. The award covers the period of January 12-18, 2026, in which the Owls were 2-0, including winning their sixth-consecutive SLIAC game to remain in second place and one game off the lead.
During the span, Huguley, a sophomore transfer, continued his dominating numbers in his first season with MUW. In the pair of games, Huguley averaged a double-double of 22.0 points and 18.5 rebounds per game, as well as 5.5 assists and 1.5 steals. The 6-foot-6 inch forward, who ranks among the national leaders in field goal percentage, hit 18-of-30 (60%) from the floor for the week.
Among his accomplishments last week was a school-record 22 rebounds in Tuesday's non-conference win at Southeastern Baptist College (eclipsing his own mark of 20 boards, set just two weeks prior).
Huguley also extended his streak of double-double games to five in a row and 10, overall, for the season. Huguley has scored in double digits in all 14 of his games played, with nine game of 20-plus points to his credit.
For the season, Huguley is averaging 22.5 points and 12.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 63.7 percent from the floor and 75.5 percent from the free throw stripe. He also averages 2.7 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game.
