LONGVIEW, Texas – The W golf teams picked up the 2025-26 spring portion of their seasons by traveling to the LeTourneau University FST Crossing Creeks Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, March 9-10. The Owl men placed third out of 13 teams participating, with a 54-hole aggregate of 876 while the women's team was fifth out of nine teams and had a 36-hole score of 704.
California Lutheran University won both the men's and women's flights. The W men were just one stroke out of second place, behind host, and NCAA III No. 23-ranked LeTourneau.
MUW junior
Collin Jones, a transfer from NCAA I Nicholls State, led the men's unit on the par-70 Crossing Creeks Country Club course. Jones had rounds of 72-70-72=214, finishing 4-over-par.
Teammates
Nicklaus Ledbetter (72-72-75=219) and
Bryce Denley (77-74-71=222) both had top-20 finishes in the 83-golfer field, placing 11th and 19th, respectively.
Alexandre Thery (78-78-75=231) tied for 35th.
Cameron James and
Trace Novak had final totals of 237, to finish knotted for 54th.
Ashley Estabrook paced the MUW ladies with a 85-85=170, good for 20th place.
Addi Campbell tied for 27th (97-84=181) and Isabel Velasquez (92-94=186) was 33rd. Freshman
Lindsey Reimsnyder tied for 39th (97-97=194).
