BELLEVILLE, Ill. – A total of eight student-athletes from The W Athletics' spring teams have been honored in their respective sports on the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's (SLIAC) All-Academic Team. To earn All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, have spent one full academic year at their institution, and hold at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average.
MUW's baseball team led the way for the Owls' spring programs, garnering five academic all-conference nods. Men's golf, women's track & field, and softball had one recipient each.

A total of 211 student-athletes earned SLIAC All-Academic team honors for the 2026 spring season. Honorees included were members of sports that held their championships during the spring season, including baseball, men's golf, softball, and men's and women's track and field.
This marks the third consecutive spring that over 200 student-athletes have earned the honor, marking the first time in conference history that feat has been accomplished. For the entire academic year, a total of 562 student-athletes received All-Academic honors, marking just the fourth time in conference history that the number of honorees has surpassed 500.
