2002 & 2023 SEASON:
Played two seasons at Coastal Alabama-North Community College … as a freshman (2022), played in 52 of team’s 56 games, with a .302 batting average (42-139) … 7 doubles and 3 home runs … 24 runs … 31 RBI … 9-9 in steals … as a sophomore (2023), played in all 55 games and hit .341 (56-164) … 13 doubles, 1 triple, 5 home runs … 36 RBI … 27 runs … Phi Theta Kappa honor society …graduated Cum Laude. 
HIGH SCHOOL:
A graduate of Millry High School (2021) … coach was Ronnie Chapman … 5x all-county selection … 3x All-Alabama selection (freshman, sophomore, senior) … first-team Alabama infielder three times (soph-senior) and second-team hitter twice (junior, senior) … also participated in volleyball, where she was all-area twice and the Player of the Year as a senior … team’s MVP and Best Hitter award as both a junior and senior … was co-captain of the Wildcats Cheer squad, as well … Beta Club and ranked top-10 in her class.
CLUB:
Played six years for Gulf Coast Extreme under Mike Lewis. Also played three years for LA Elite under Nick Kirkland. 
PERSONAL:
Born January 12, 2003, in Hattiesburg, Miss. … daughter of Nick and Shanna Newell … has two brothers (Cade and Brantlee) … enjoys hunting and fishing, as well as spending time playing with her dog (Toby) … volunteers at softball camps for girls … a speech and language pathology major … selected The W because of “the great coaches and people gave me a warm hello; also, the campus is indescribable. The W felt like home as soon as I put my foot on the campus. I loved the W from the moment I saw it!”
