Owls lose series finale to Hawks on the road

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Mississippi University for Women volleyball team fell in its rematch versus Huntingdon College, 3-0. The Owls lost by set scores of 21-25, 17-25, 17-25 on the Hawks' home floor.
 
MUW lost the season series to HC. The Hawks defeated the Owls in Columbus, 3-1, back on September 14.
 
Jasmine Kelly's eight kills paced The W attack. Hannah Duran had a nice outing with six kills, a team-best 11 assists, nine digs and a solo block.
 
Llayne Skinner's 19 digs topped all players in the match. Madison Suggs and Camryn Johnson each added 10 digs.
 
Johnson had the Owls' lone service ace, as well. She also booked six assists.
 
The W will host Tougaloo College on Monday (Oct. 18) at Pohl Gymnasium. Start time is slated for 6 p.m., preceded by a reserves game versus Northwest Mississippi Community College at 4 p.m.
