Owls WBB loses in Webster Classic consolation bout

Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Mississippi University for Women women's basketball team lost to the University of Dallas, 111-45, in the consolation game of the Webster Tip-Off Classic. The Owls fell to 0-3 on the year, while the Crusaders improved to 1-1.
 
Conley Langford shared game-high scoring honors with UD's Adryan Alveraz, with each tallying 20 points for their respective teams. Langford was 8-for-16 overall from the field, netting 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. She also pulled down six rebounds and made two steals.
 
Fellow MUW newcomer Jas Patrick had another double-digit scoring effort, booking 14 points, thanks to a 7-of-8 effort from the free throw stripe. She also dished off two assists.
 
 In the two tournament games, Patrick amassed 45 points in the two games.
 
Ashley Cooper chipped in five points to the Owls' cause. Jaycee Haynes, Reagan Sonnier, and Becca Owens each had two points to round out The W's scoring.
 
Sonnier topped MUW with seven rebounds. Sonnier and Owens each had one blocked shot.
 
The W will next travel to Millsaps College on Wednesday (Nov. 16) for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
