LOUIS, Mo. – Mississippi University for Women took on three-time St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) defending regular season champion – and 2022-23 pre-season favorite – Webster University on Saturday afternoon, coming out on the short end of an 88-30 score on the road. The Owls (0-7) and Gorloks (6-1) will be SLIAC mates beginning next season.

The Owls were outnumbered from the early going, as Webster raced out to a 54-13 lead by halftime. 15 of the Gorloks' 17 players to see action against the Owls, scored.

Conley Langford had a big day for The W. Langford scored half of her team's points, 15 in all, by hitting 6-of-17 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. She also narrowly missed a double-double by collecting a team-leading nine rebounds.

Post player MG Chamberlain booked seven points and six rebounds. Freshman Jas Patrick was held to single digits for just the second time this season, with five points. Patrick had four caroms and a team-high three steals.
