COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi University for Women women's soccer lost a non-conference match at home to regional-rival Belhaven University by a 2-0 score on Tuesday evening at the Roger Short Soccer Complex. The setback dropped the Owls to 4-7-0 on the year, while the Blazers improved to 11-3-1.

MUW held the Blazers' offense in check during the first half, as the teams played to a 0-0 score at the intermission. But Belhaven took the lead three minutes into the second half and scored again in the 62nd minute for the 2-0 final score.
Olivia Deslatte had two of the Owls' shot attempts, with one going one frame.

The W returns to St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Thursday (4 p.m.) at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas.
