MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Mississippi University for Women women's soccer ran into a tough Rhodes College side, suffering a 5-0 non-conference road loss on Sunday afternoon. The Owls fell to 1-4-0, while the Lynx improved to 5-2-1.
 
The W played RC close the first half, going into the locker room down by a modest, 1-0, score. However, the Lynx raced out of the second-half blocks, scoring in the 46th, 50th, 61st and 72nd minutes.
 
MUW would muster just one shot in each half, either of which was on-goal. Conversely, Rhodes hoisted 20 total attempts – 10 in each half – scoring on all five of its shots on goal.
