Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 COLUMBUS, Miss. – Mississippi University for Women's tennis teams ran into a buzz saw versus NAIA power University of Mobile (Ala.) on Friday morning at the Garret Courts. Mobile was an NAIA national tournament qualifier in 2023.
 
Both the Owls' women's and men's teams lost by 6-0 scores versus the Rams. The Nos. 4-6 singles matches for both contests went unfinished – once the Rams secured the win – to allow Mobile more travel time to Jackson for an afternoon bout versus Belhaven.
 
It was the season opener for U of M, while The W squads now are 1-4 on the men's side and 0-5 for the ladies.
 
MUW will next be in action on February 17 (Saturday) at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn.
