SHREVEPORT, La. -   The W men's soccer team found itself on the wrong end of a 9-0 neutral site loss to Austin College at Atkins Field (at Centenary College) on Sunday afternoon. The Owls fell to 0-5-0, while the Kangaroos improved to 2-4-1, overall.
 
MUW trailed 3-0 at the intermission.
 
The W was out-shot by a 40-0 margin for the match. That included a 19-0 count for shots on goal.
 
MUW goalkeeper Antonio Romero posted 10 saves. He was charged with all nine goals, as well.
 
The W will look to secure win No. 1 for 2024 on Friday (Sept. 20/6 p.m.), when it travels to Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee, for a non-conference bout.
