EUREKA, Ill. - The W volleyball kept its hopes to reach the six team St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) post-season tournament intact, thanks to a, 3-0, victory over Eureka College on the road. The Owls improved to 6-15 overall and are 4-7 in the SLIAC, a half-game behind current No. 6 Spalding University.
MUW has four matches remaining in its regular season, including two versus Spalding. The W will travel to SU on Saturday, October 25, with the Golden Eagles making a return trip to Columbus a week later on November 1.
On Saturday morning, the Owls made short work of SLIAC cellar-dweller Eureka on the Red Devils' home floor. MUW won by set scores of 25-13, 25-22, 25-17.

Megan Neeb and junior transfer
Skye Letson led the offense, each registering double-digit kill totals. Neeb finished with a match-leading 15 kills, while Letson knocked down 11. The duo not only attacked with quantity, but with quality, as well, sporting .345 and .320 attack averages, respectively.
Madyson McBrayer and
Sydney Barrett registered seven kills, apiece. McBrayer had a nice all-around effort, also contributing eight digs, four service aces, and three solo blocks to the Owls' cause. Barrett chipped in a pair of solo blocks, as well.
Setter
Kinsley Kennedy had 37 assists, the second most ever recorded by an Owl in a three-set match (behind only her own school-record 39 assists versus Stillman College on September 13 earlier this season). Libero
Brooklyn Comfort topped the backrow players with 15 digs.
As a unit, MUW had its best attacking effort of the season, hitting .295 for the match. MUW had 44 kills, with 13 errors, in 105 total attempts.
The W will next take on Blackburn College on Sunday (Oct. 19/10 a.m.) in Carlinville, Illinois. Blackburn is currently the third-place team in the SLIAC standings.
