HENDERSON, Tenn. – The W volleyball team lost a non-conference road match, 3-1, at Freed-Hardeman University. The Owls (7-16) lost to the Lions (16-12) by set scores of 29-31, 25-22, 25-19, 25-21.
As it turned out, the host F-HU squad had an ace up its sleeve. Actually, it was quite a few more than that, as the Lions served up 17 aces on the night (compared to four by MUW) to make the difference on the scoreboard.
Offensively, the two sides matched up fairly even, with each team knocking down 50 kills and notching 48 assists. Defensively, The W held a 6-to-4 advantage in total block and a 60-to-55 cushion in digs.
Sophomore
Megan Neeb led all players with a match-high of 17 kills - in 50 attempts – to top trio of Owls in double figure kill totals. Neeb had a double-double for the night as she also registered 14 digs.
Skye Letson extended her streak of matches with double-digit kills to 12, and 16 overall in 2025, while posting an impressive .435 attack percentage (3 errors in 23 attempts).
Madyson McBrayer rounded out the group, adding 12 kills and eight digs.
Sydney Barrett continued her strong defensive efforts with a match-leading five blocks (one solo; four assisted), to go along with her six kills.
Junior setter
Kinsley Kennedy assisted on 43 of her team's 50 kills (86 percent). Sophomore libero
