TUNICA, Miss. – The W men's golf placed fifth out of 13 schools at the 2025 Rhodes College Fall Invitational, contested at the Tunica National Golf and Tennis Resort. The Owls compiled a 54-hole total score of 896, with just 10 shots separating second through fifth places.
Junior transfer
Bryce Denley paced MUW with a fifth-place finish. Denley fired rounds of 67-75-75 for a one-over par total of 217 for the tourney. Denley's first round 67 had him hoovering near the top of the leaderboard, buoyed by four birdies and an eagle (on the par-5, 14th hole).
Three other Owls landed inside the top-20m of the 72-player field.
Daniel Martin finished in a three-way logjam in 16th place with a scorecard of 75-76-73=224. Two MUW newcomers –
Collin Jones (74-74-77) and Alexandre Thery (75-79-71) - both joined a three-way tie at 19th place with an aggregate 225 for th 54 holes. Jones was playing as an individual for The W.
Nicklaus Ledbetter (83-74-77=234) was 46th, followed by
Trace Novak (82-76-78=236) tied for 48th.
