Volleyball goes 1-2 on St. Louis trip

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The W volleyball took on the top two teams in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) on its recent three-game swing to the St. Louis area, coming away with a 1-2 mark for the weekend. On Friday, the Owls lost, 3-0, at second place Westminster College and were topped by league-leader Greenville University, 3-0, on Saturday morning, before bouncing back to defeat Eureka College, 3-0, in the afternoon bout.

Versus Eureka, the Owls slugged it out with the Red Devils in the win (26-24, 26-24, 25-18). And it was the Letson-McBrayer duo supplying the firepower with 15 and 13 kills, respectively.

Sydney Barrett posted three blocks and Kinsley Kennedy had 25 assists. Kennedy also chipped in 11 digs, but it was Brooklyn Comfort topping the backrow players with 17 digs.
