DEMOREST, Ga. – The W men's soccer found the going rough on the road in a 6-1 loss at Piedmont University on Sunday afternoon. The Owls fell to 1-3, while the Lions improved to 1-1.

The host PU squad tallied twice in the first 10 minutes of the contest and never looked back. MUW trailed 4-0 at the intermission and was down 6-0 by the 59th minute.

The W finally got on the board in the 81st minute. After Piedmont was whistled for a foul in the box, MUW's Kyle Morris converted the penalty kick, for the 6-1 final score. It was Morris' fourth goal of the two-game Georgia road trip.

The Lions held a 30-to-7 advantage in total shot attempts, including a 13-3 margin for shots on-goal. Morris had three of his team's tries, with two on frame.

Nick Gutierrez started in goal for MUW and had five first-half saves. Cortland Earl had two second-half saves for the Owls.
