TUCSON, Ariz. - The W wrapped up its weekend set in the Tucson Invitational Games, with an 18-8 run-rule loss to NCAA Division III No. 13-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College, at the Kino Sports Complex. The Owls fell to 9-8 overall, while the Stags are now 13-4.

CMS tallied in every inning except the sixth, and led wire-to-wire. MUW was outhit in the contest, 21-9.

Senior designated hitter
Baron Brack had a big day for MUW. Brack went 2-for-3 and drove in his team's first four runs of the game with an RBI single in the third, plating
Zach Johnson who had doubled, and a three-run homer in the fifth, as The W pushed across five in that frame.

Michael O'Neil both had multi-hit games, as well. Johnson went 2-for-4 with a double, three runs scored, and a walk.

O'Neill was also 2-for-4, with RBI singles in the fifth and sixth innings.

Zach Connell (0-2) took the loss for MUW. Connell went 2.2 innings and was charged with the first eight runs allowed, only five of which were earned, as the first of the Owls' four hurlers in the game.
