COLUMBUS, Miss. – The United Soccer Coaches (USC) has announced its College Team Academic Award winners for 2025-26, with both The W women's and men's teams being honored. The award recognizes teams from all levels of collegiate soccer – NCAA I, II, III, NAIA, & JUCO - for exemplary performance in the classroom for the academic year.

The Owls' women's team amassed an impressive 3.52 grade point average (GPA) for its roster last season. MUW's men had a GPA of 3.13 for the 2025-26 year.

A total of 793 soccer teams (333 men, 460 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the USC Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year. Of that total, The W was one of the 184 schools nationwide that had both its men's and women's programs recognized by the USC.
