MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The W's cross country teams both finished in 10th place in their respective races at the Rhode Invitational on Saturday, at the Shelby Farms course.
In the men's eight-kilometer race, MUW was led by sophomore
Jarvis Sellers. Sellers completed the course in a clocking of 30:05.90 minutes, good for 35th place in the 77-runner field.
Christian Chipilipili was 57th in a time of 35:30.60, followed by
Noel Kellum in 64th (37:09.31). I'
Monn Hill (42:17.90) and
Trevor Davis (49:29.20) rounded out the Owls' men's runners.
In the women's 5-kilometer race, senior
Hannah Owens topped The W by finishing in a time of 22:04.50 minutes. That put Owens in 30th place in the 87-runnner field.
Brianna Brown was the second MUW women's finisher, crossing the line at 27:56.30 in 76th place. Brown was followed by
Cassidy Talley at 30:28.50,
Kamiyah Whiting at 34:50.90, and
Ketu'rah Johnson at 35:23.50.
