A.D.'s Honor Roll ... 5 games/2 starts ... 4 ABs (1-4) ... lone hit was a double ... drew 3 walks and was HBP once.     
2024 SEASON:
Athletic Director’s Honor Roll … 1 game played ... 1-2 (.500) ... run.
HIGH SCHOOL:  
A graduate of Copiah Academy (2023) … coach was Brad Carr … four varsity seasons … as a senior, was an all-star selection … also team’s defensive MVP … second team all-district as a junior … team won MAIS title his sophomore season (2021) … also played football and soccer for the Colonels … on the gridiron, was twice selected all-district (junior and senior) … team was the MAIS 5A runner-up his junior year and earned district championship his senior year … on the soccer pitch, team won the MAIS Division II state title his junior year … second team all-district as a senior … won team’s Most Tenacious Player and Colonel awards.
CLUB:
Played for Copiah Stars under Tan Hollingsworth.    
PERSONAL:
Born June 1, 2004 in Jackson, Miss. … son of Warren and Rebecca Thornton … has one brother (Will) … his grandfather is Mississippi Supreme Court Justice Jim Kitchens … his grandmother, Mary Kitchens, is the founder of Mississippi Toughest Kids Foundation and of Camp Kamassa, as well as the winner of Mississippi’s 2023 Remarkable Women of the Year award … hobbies include snowboarding, skiing, fishing, and swimming … volunteerism includes with Crystal Springs United Methodist Church Youth Missions, Mission March, and Rise Against Hunger, building handicap ramps for youth at Camp Kamassa, a camp counselor at RAD (Radically Against Dystrophy), Camp Rainbow lifeguard (for pediatric cancer patients and survivors), and at Camp Wesley Pines (UMC conference and retreat site) … a little know fact is that he is an alligator hunter …selected The W because of  the “location and the coaches.”
