Valerie Greer joined the Owls women's soccer program for the 2025 season as the team's assistant coach. In July of 2026, she assumed the role of Interim Head Coach for the 2026 campaign.
As MUW's assistant in 2025, Greer assisted with all aspects of daily program operations, including practice planning, game-day preparation, and
player development. She also analyzed match and training videos to assist with opponent scouting, player evaluations, and tactical planning.
In 2026, she was involved in the local soccer scene as the head coach for Columbus United Soccer Club. She also served as an assistant at the
Texas A&M University Soccer Camp.
For her own career, Greer played two seasons at NCAA Division I Mississippi Valley State University and, in 2024, helped the team to its first SWAC tournament berth since 2017. Prior to MVSU, Greer played two seasons at Louisiana Christian University (formerly Louisiana College), leading the program to its first-ever winning seasons in 2021 (10-0-1) and 2022 (6-3-2) and the 2021 Red River Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament championships.
