MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The W women's soccer team loss today's matchup against the Scots. The Owls move to a 0-6 record this spring, and the Scots advance to a 4-0 record this spring.
Sarah Gilliland, a proven threat in the net, has shown how well she defends the goal. In this afternoon's game, Gilliland recorded eight saves with 12 goals allowed.
Gilliland competed for all 90 minutes of the contest. The senior did not miss a minute of action in this matchup.
While the Owls adjusted into its restructured backline, MC scored one of its goals in the first half of the game and the rest in the second, earning the first goal in the first seven minutes of a strong start to the contest.
The Owls will be back at home for the next matchup. They will be hosting Birmingham-Southern College on Thursday, March 1 at 5 p.m. at Sprint Mart Field.
