Gilliland Records Nine Saves at UAPB

PINE BLUFF, Ark.  – The Lady Lions scored three goals in the opening half to outscore the Owls and take the match on a cold, gloomy day in Arkansas on this Friday afternoon by a 3-0 scoreline.
 
The W will return to action on Friday, March 26, at 3 p.m. ET. The Owls will head to Sewanee, Tenn., for a matchup against the Tigers.
 
Hannah Helms attempted a shot to get the Owls on the scoresheet in the 55th minute, but the shot went over the top.

Once again, senior Sarah Gilliland brought performed well in the net for the Owls. Gilliland played the entire 90 minutes and ended the matchup with nine saves and three goals allowed.
 
Pine Bluff got on the board in the 12th minute and then doubled their lead in the 13th minute. Minutes later into the first half, the Lady Lions scored their third and final goal.
