Women's Soccer Shutout at Birmingham Southern

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The W women's soccer program fell to Birmingham-Southern College in its second matchup of the week on Friday, 4-0.

Right from the start, the Panthers found themselves with back-to-back shots, but the defense shut down both opportunities.

Goalkeeper Caitlyn Fox's first save of the match came with just 19 minutes elapsed, and the Owls flipped the game to the other side of the field. Shelbi Box took two shot attempts, one saved by BSC goalkeeper Blakley Jones and the second attempt blocked.

Overall, Sarah Gilliland finished with four saves, and Fox finished with six saves.

The W will return to the field tomorrow, Saturday, March 6, at 3:00 p.m. for a matchup against Millsaps College.
