The Owls were on the road today, traveling to Montgomery, Alabama to face the Hawks of Huntingdon College in a single 9 inning game. The Owls came into the competition 18-7, but fell to the Hawks 11-3, making their record 18-8.

While the Owls only had two less hits than the Hawks (14), they failed to connect them to bring in runners. Logan Suggs had the most success in the box, going 3 for 4 at the plate with 2 RBIs and 1 stolen base. Centerfielder, Matthew Bumpous, went 2 for 4 at the plate, and second baseman, CJ Wise, went 2 for 5. 

Multiple MUW pitchers saw action in the contest, with none of them able to hold off the Huntingdon offense. David Standifer collected the loss for the Owls, pitching the first 2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits with one walk. Blaize Gann appeared next, also pitching 2 innings, with 4 runs on 4 hits and 1 strikeout. Next, Kameron Ferguson put in 1.1 innings worth of work, facing 8 batters, allowing 1 run on 1 hit with 3 walks. The closing pitcher for the Owls was John David Topik, pitching 2.2 innings. Topik allowed 2 runs on 4 hits with 2 walks and 1 strikeout.
