COLUMBUS, Miss. - Mississippi University for Women – ranked No. 3 in the nation among United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) schools - did its part to make a case for an even loftier rating after it mowed down Tougaloo College, 9-1, at the Lowndes County Soccer Complex. The Owls evened their record at 4-4-1, while the Bulldogs slipped to 0-2.
"It was great to get a win at home and get every player on the roster game time," MUW Head Coach
Catie Lyles said. "We still have work to do and we will start working again tomorrow.
"I am very excited to see how the rest of the year plays out."
If Thursday's match-up is any indication, Lyles should have plenty to look forward to the rest of the way in 2022. The Owls attack resembled a Gatling Gun, peppering TC goalkeeper Precious Womack with 47 total shots and 24 directly on-goal. Womack finished with 15 saves and the nine goals allowed.
The W offense had a .510 shots-on-goal average and a .191 shooting percentage for the contest.

Adrianna Parsons - each managed a pair of goals. Shoemaker cobbled together a fine match, also credited with three assists. Parsons and Decoteau went 4-for-4 and 3-for-3, respectively, for shots/shots-on-goal.
For Parsons, it gave her a team-leading six goals on the season.
Returning USCAA All-American

Kendry Crabtree each contributed single goals for MUW.
