LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - The Mississippi University for Women volleyball team did not have the result it hoped for in its season-opening match, falling on the road to Covenant College, 3-0. The Owls (0-1) lost to the Scots (1-0) by set scores of 14-25, 20-25, 11-25 at the Barnes PE Center.
A strong CC attack was The W's undoing, as the host Scots piled up more kills (45 to 18) and hit with a greater efficiency (.310 to .035) in the match. Covenant was errorless on receiving attempts, while the Owls committed seven miscues.
Sophomore
