Congratulations to our OWL OF THE WEEK: Ty'Kerria Young (Mobile, Ala.) a freshman on the women's track and field team. While there were numerous great choices this week, Young had quite an impressive weekend in her first-ever collegiate competition.

At Saturday's UAB Vulcan Invitational, Young set a school record in the women's 60-meter hurdles (9.67 seconds). She also competed in the 600 meters and long jump. In Sunday's Emory Crossplex Showdown, she broke the school record in the triple jump by leaping 10.29 meters (surpassing the previous mark of 9.89m by former Owls' standout Erin Jones in 2023).
