COLUMBUS, Miss.- The W men's soccer played visiting Belhaven University strong for the first half, before eventually falling by a 5-1 score at the Roger Short Soccer Complex. The Owls are now 0-11-0, while the Blazers improve to 6-3-3 on the year.

It wasn't until the 53rd minute that the Blazers broke open the scoreless deadlock with a pair of quick goals a minute apart to make it 2-0.

In the 61st minute, the Owls got back into the match when Jared Ferraez scored his first goal of the season. Trey Parnell was credited with the assist that made it 2-1 with plenty of match remaining to be played.

Unfortunately for MUW, Belhaven would tally three unanswered goals to close out the contest, for the 5-1 final.
