COLUMBUS, Miss. – The W women's soccer team was beaten by St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) leader Greenville University, 5-0, at the Roger Short Soccer Complex. The Owls dropped to 0-10-2 (0-3-0 SLIAC), while the Panthers improved to 6-7-0 (3-0-0 SLIAC).

Cam Lopez had a busy day, facing 13 shots on goal and picking up eight saves. Overall, GU outshot the Owls by a 19-1 margin.
The W's lone shot attempt, which was on-goal, came off of the foot of
Ella Mercier in the second half of play.
MUW remained close through one half of play, trailing just 2-0 at the intermission. But the Panthers added second half goals in the 59th, 63rd, and 64th minutes to ice the match.
The W will next be in action on Thursday (October 16/5 p.m.) for a SLIAC bout at Webster University.
