Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s soccer topped at Webster

FENTON, Mo. – The W women's soccer was shutout, 5-0, by Webster University - the No. 3 team in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) – at Worldwide Technology Park. The Owls fell to 0-11-2 (0-4-0 SLIAC), while the Gorloks upped their season record to 11-3 (4-1-0 SLIAC).

MUW gave up goals in the 6th and 38th minutes to find itself down a manageable 2-0 at the half. However, WU would net three second-half tallies to break the match open.

Owls' goalkeeper Cam Lopez was kept busy all evening, as Webster took 49 total shots with 25 on-goal. Lopez registered 20 saves.

A stingy Gorlok defense kept The W at bay most of the contest. Emma Hall was able to get off MUW's lone shot in the second half, putting it on frame and saved by WU netminder Leia Adkins.

The Owls will finish off their two-match road trip to the St. Louis area on Saturday (October 18/9 a.m.) bout versus Westminster College.
