COLUMBUS, Miss. – The W men's soccer dropped a, 4-2, St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) contest at home versus Blackburn College at the Roger Short Soccer Complex. The Owls fell to 3-11-1 (0-5-1 SLIAC), while the Beavers upped their record to 5-10-1 (1-5-1 SLIAC).
MUW found itself down 2-0 at the half after giving up goals in the 19
th and 41
st minutes. The Owls trailed 4-0, before finally getting on the scoreboard, themselves, late in the second half.
Trey Parnell tallied both of MUW's goals, the first unassisted in the 76
th minute. Parnell's second score came in the 84
th minute and was assisted by
Cole Crawford.
The W was nearly doubled up on total shots – 29-15 – and by a 15-7 count for shots on-goal by the Beavers.

Cortland Earl had a season-high 11 saves in the contest.
The W will play its final home bout of 2025 on Sunday (Oct. 26/1 p.m.). It will also be the Owls' Senior Day, with ceremonies slated for post-game at the Short Soccer Complex.
