BEREA, Ky. – The W men's soccer lost its Kentucky road trip finale, falling in a non-conference match at Berea College, 7-0. The Owls are now 3-8, while the Mountaineers improved to 1-6-3.
The host BC side built a 4-0 halftime cushion and never looked back. The visiting Owls lost a third-consecutive contest, following what was a two-match win skein.
The aggressive Mountaineers offense fired 30 shots at the Owls, 20 on-goal. That resulted in 13 saves for MUW goalkeeper
Nick Gutierrez.
The Owls were able to get off a total of three shot attempts.
Justin Nazariega,
Dilyn Arnold, and
Luke Bradley were credited with MUW's tries.
The W will return to SLIAC play on Saturday (Oct. 11/2:30 p.m.) versus Grenville University at the Roger Short Soccer Complex.
