UNION, Mo. – The W women's golf team earned a third-place finish at the 2025 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) championships at the Birch Creek Golf Course. The Owls (985) trailed only perennial powers Grinnell College and Lake Forest College, which were 1-2, respectively, for the 54-hole tourney.
(Grinnell and LFC are associate members of the SLIAC for women's golf. Among the full-time SLIAC member schools, MUW topped the five that sponsor women's golf).
"I was very proud of the ladies," MUW Head Coach
Benji Williams said. "They played fairly consistently, and we were beaten by two traditionally strong programs. We did a nice job of just managing our own game."
For the first time in its brief history as a SLIAC member, The W had women's golfers earn all-conference status by their finish. The quartet of Owls - newcomer juniors
Addi Campbell and
Isabel Velazquez, along with senior
Sara Grace Ramey and junior
Ashley Estabrook – all were recognized as second-team all-SLIAC for 2025. Campbell (79-81-82) and Velazquez (80-84-78) both finished with aggregate scores of 242, tying for 10th place. Ramey placed 16th with rounds of 89-79-82=249. Estabrook carded 87-84-81=252 and 18th place.
All five of the Owls participating would finish inside the top-25 in the final individual standings among the 50 players.
Lindsey Reimsnyder checked in at 22nd place (89-91-85=265), to round out the Owls' roster.
Estabrook was also named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
