BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The W's
Devin McCaine (Mobile, Ala.) had quite an impressive first week with the Owls men's Basketball team. So much so that the MUW guard was selected as the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Player of the Week for the period of November 10-16, 2025, it has been announced.
In his first three games as an Owl, McCaine averaged 21.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. The 5'11" junior also shot an impressive 63 percent from the field (25-40), 67 percent from three-point range (8-12), and was perfect from the free throw line (6-6) in his "debut week" for The W.
McCaine had double-digit scoring in all three contests last week. He topped the week with a 26-point effort on Saturday at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. Versus the Warhawks, McCaine tied the MUW single-game record by making six three-point baskets.
"Devin is a young man whom the staff and guys enjoy being around," MUW Head Coach
Dean Burrows said. "He's off to a hot start offensively, scoring the ball."
McCaine – and his Owls' teammates – will next be in action this Friday (Nov. 21/6 p.m.) at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi.
