Clark, Johnson earn All-Region honors from the ABCA & D3Baseball

COLUMBUS, Miss. – Fresh off of its runner-up finish in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC), The W baseball team has had two of its players – Landon Clark (Tuscaloosa, Alabama) and Zach Johnson (Birmingham, Ala.) – named All-Region by D3Baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), it was announced. Clark was a first-team selection on both all-region lists, while Johnson was tabbed on the second team by the ABCA and third team by D3Baseball.com.

Clark, a senior, was voted the region's top utility player. From the mound, Clark led the Owls with a 3.19 earned run average, posting a record of 7-2. He topped the team with 67.2 innings pitched and 70 strikeouts (to just 25 walks). Opponents had a paltry .224 batting average against him during his 13 appearances on the mound.

In the field, where he played second, first, and designated hitter, Clark amassed a .385 batting average (50-130), which ranked second on the MUW team. Clark scored 41 runs and drove in 29, as well. He had 17 extra-base hits - 9 doubles, 3 triples, and 5 home runs – while also drawing a team-best 28 walks. He had a .615 slugging percentage and a team-leading .506 on-base average. Clark also went 11-for-14 in steal attempts.

Clark was a first-team All-SLIAC honoree and named to the SLIAC championships' all-tournament team.

Johnson, a junior first baseman who also played some outfield for the Owls, slashed .386/.681/.418 in his first campaign at The W. Johnson paced MUW in several offensive categories, including batting average, slugging percentage, at-bats (166), hits (64), doubles (15), triples (5), home runs (8), and RBI (50). Johnson's totals for at-bats, hits, doubles, triples, and RBI were all new MUW season records, as well as his total of 28 extra-base hits in 2025.

Johnson was also voted first-team All-SLIAC. He was also twice named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week in 2025.
