HOUSTON, Texas – The W women's soccer began its Texas two-stop road trip with a 4-0 loss at the University of St. Thomas. The Owls fell to 0-5-1 on the season, while the Celts improved to 3-1-2.

MUW had a tough start to the contest, as UST netted three goals within the first six minutes. Other than that, the Owls permitted just one other tally (in the 62nd minute) to the Celts in the final 84 minutes.

The issue for The W was that it could not muster any offensive attack and spent the vast majority of the time playing defense, as UST outshot MUW, 23-0, with all for of its shots on-goal producing scores. That resulted in the unusual statistic of neither goalkeeper making a save.

The W will play its second Texas tilt on Saturday (4 p.m.) at LeTourneau University. The match will be a homecoming for MUW Head Coach
Ana Ramos, an alumnae of LETU (cl. 2015), where she played four seasons for the Yellowjackets from 2011-14.
