COLUMBUS, Miss. – A pair of The W basketball players –
Conley Langford and
Jackson Reid – have been honored as St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) All-Academic Team selections for their respective divisions.
To be eligible for the SLIAC All-Academic award, student-athletes must be members of the varsity team in the sport recognized, have been in residence at the institution one year prior to the season being awarded (i.e.- no first-year transfers), and carry a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
Langford is a senior biology major at MUW and was a four-year letterwinner and starter, who will graduate in May 2026. Langford is earning her third SLIAC All-Academic selection in as many years in the league, and was also voted All-SLIAC on the court three times, as well. She is the most prolific player in MUW's modern athletics era, holding a total of 22 school game, season, and career records, including most points (1,522) and rebounds (704).
Reid spent two seasons in Columbus after graduating from Schreiner University in Texas in two years, with a degree in cybersecurity. He will earn his MBA in May of 2026. Reid was a key cog in the Owls' run to the program's first-ever SLIAC championship and subsequent NCAA Division III tournament appearance in 2025-26. He was named to the SLIAC's All-Sportsmanship Team this year, as well.
