COLUMBUS, Miss. – The W baseball team will begin play in the 2026 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) tournament by hosting a game for the first time on Tuesday (May 5), at CCA Field. The No. 4-seed Owls (22-17) will welcome No. 5-seed Westminster College in a quarterfinal elimination game, with the winner advancing to the double-elimination round on May 7-10 in Fulton, Missouri.
This is MUW's third-consecutive season of qualifying for the SLIAC tourney, in as many years of being a member of the conference. In 2025, The W placed second in the tournament, which determines the SLIAC's representative to the NCAA Division III national championship playoff.
First pitch is slated for 5 p.m. at CCA Field. Because it is a SLIAC tournament game, no passes will be accepted. Tickets will be cash only sale at the gate on gameday. The prices are: $5 for Adults; $3 for Students and MUW students are free w/ ID, and; $3 for Children (under 4 are free).
The Owls won two-of-three games in the regular season series with Westminster, played April 11-12 in O'Fallon, Mo.
