COLUMBUS, Miss. – The W sophomore Brooklyn Rhodes has been selected as the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) softball Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced. Rhodes is a second-year player with the Owls and from Vancleave, Miss. (Vancleave H.S.).

Last Saturday, Rhodes picked up her sixth victory of the season with the complete game win over Spalding University, 3-2, in a battle of SLIAC heavyweights. In her 7.0 innings of work, Rhodes scattered five hits and allowed two runs. She struck out four and walked one.

The win helped MUW secure the No. 4-seed for the SLIAC tournament, which begins Tuesday (May 5/1 PM) at The W, versus No. 5-seed Westminster College.
