MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The W women's soccer match at Rhodes College on Tuesday proved to be a perfect storm of a newcomer-laden lineup still looking to establish itself in 2026, versus a veteran and unbeaten side. That resulted in the Owls falling to 0-3-0 on the year in a 9-0 loss at the hands of the 3-0-0 Lynx.
The host RC squad took control early, scoring just 24 seconds into the match and building a 7-0 cushion by the intermission.

Cam Lopez – faced a total of 25 shots on-goal. She recorded 16 saves, which ranks as the fifth most ever registered in a single match by an Owls' goalie.
The W will have a week to regroup before its next match, a home bout versus Millsaps College on September 16 (4 p.m.) at the Roger Short Soccer Complex.
